Your Library
Keep files, links and notes in collections, share them, and tidy them up.
The Library holds the files, links and notes you add to Louvain, in collections. Open it from the sidebar.
Create a collection
- In the Library, choose New collection.
- Under Whose collection, choose Just me (only you can read it, admins included) or Shared in the workspace (only an admin can create a shared one).
- Choose Continue, check the summary, then Create collection.
Add to a collection
Open the collection and choose New:
- Upload files or Upload folder.
- Add a link — choose how often Louvain checks the page again: Off, Daily or Weekly. A new version is kept only when the page changes.
- New note or New folder.
Share a collection
- Open the collection and choose Share.
- Add people and pick a role: Viewer (can read and cite), Editor (can also add, replace and delete) or Admin (can also manage sharing).
- Under Who else can open it, choose Only people with access or Everyone in your workspace.
A collection always needs an admin.
Move, rename and delete
Each item's menu has Open, Details, Share…, Move…, Download, Add to Starred and Delete. The collection's own menu has Rename collection and Delete collection.
Deleted items go to Recently deleted for 30 days, outside search and answers. Restore them from there, or delete them for good.
Tidy up
In a collection that is yours, choose Tidy up from its menu. Louvain suggests new folders, moves and merges, shown as Before and After. Nothing changes until you apply it, and you can untick anything you want left as it is.
How a collection is read
Choose How it's read from the collection's menu:
- Reference — found, previewed and cited in answers, but nothing in it becomes a fact Louvain knows.
- Knowledge — read in full, so what it says becomes facts Louvain knows, for the people who can read it.
Cards or List
Use the Layout switch to see a collection as List or Cards. (If your admin chose the Refreshed Library design, everyone sees cards.)
